The main socket standards are Type 1 (J1772), Type 2 (Mennekes), CHAdeMO, CCS, Schuko, Tesla Supercharger, GB/T. The standards define the type of connector, the maximum voltage supported, the charging mode (slow, fast, ultra-fast), and other technical characteristics.
