A ultra-low emission vehicle is a motor vehicle, electric or internal combustion, that meets the parameters and the standards related to harmful emissions, emitting a reduced number of pollutants into the atmosphere compared to traditional vehicles. To be considered a ULEV, a vehicle must emit 75-80% less than the legal emissions allowed, the exact specifications of which vary from country to country.
