AFV – Alternatively-Fuelled Vehicles

They are called this way the vehicles powered by alternative fuels to classic gasoline or diesel. They are vehicles that, in order to operate, utilize energy sources, both renewable and non-renewable, different from traditional fossil fuels. Among these are methanol, biomethane, biodiesel, compressed gas, hydrogen, or electricity. Entire families of vehicles are considered AFV: electric, plug-in hybrid, fuel cell, and gas. Their use instead of fossil fuel vehicles contributes to improving the quality of the surrounding air and to reducing air pollution.
