Lithium (battery)

Lithium (battery)

It is a type of rechargeable battery, which is used to store the energy that powers the electric motor of the vehicle. A lithium-ion battery is made up of several cells capable of storing large amounts of energy in small spaces. This type of battery is characterized by its lightness and compactness, as well as having a high energy density. This means that compared to its weight and volume, it contains more energy than other types of batteries, which is why they are the most commonly used in electric vehicles. These batteries can be recharged either by using an external charging outlet or with an internal recovery system, known as KERS, which functions to recharge the battery using the kinetic energy produced during braking.
